LCSD Limited Items and Donation Information

The selection of this year’s Local Comic Shop Day exclusive items has been severely allocated. Most shops, including ours, received only a tiny portion of the items ordered for the event. There are 3 books in particular that were allocated down to only 1 or 2 copies:

Marvel Knights #1 Exclusive Variant: 2 copies

Green Lantern #1 Foil Variant: 1 copy

Blackbird #1 Foil Variant: 1 copy

Since we have received many requests for these items, we feel the best way to handle these limited items will be to have 3 separate silent auctions. We will have a sign up sheet posted next to each of these items on Saturday. If you’d like to bid on the item, you would write your name, phone number, and how much you would like to bid on the auction sheet. Then others may join in and bid higher in increments of $1.00.

The final bids will be taken at 7:45pm on Saturday November 17th. Since we have 2 copies of Marvel Knights #1, we will take the top two highest bidders.

50% of all proceeds for the silent auctions will be submitted as an online donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.

The other exclusive items are not as limited as the above ones and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. For the full list of items, please check here:

**ALSO** we have made an arrangement with Jamaica Hospital in Queens to donate some kid-friendly comic books for the children’s ward. If you have any kid-appropriate comics you’d like to donate, please feel free to bring them by this weekend and we will include them in our donation!

We’ve got some last minute talent added to our Local Comic Shop Day festivities this weekend!!

In addition to local artist, Tom Velez, appearing from 2-7pm taking commissions and selling art, we will also have the following two appearances this weekend: Keith Williams on Saturday and Bob McCleod on Sunday!
